Barriers to conventional work
Physical access, transport, workplace attitudes, and inflexible systems can exclude capable people.
We are building an accessible pathway from AI learning to dignified earning for persons with disabilities and people with limited mobility.
TurningPoint combines practical skills, supervised experience, mentorship, portfolio development, and connections to real assignments so that learners can participate confidently in the digital economy.
Persons with disabilities often face inaccessible workplaces, mobility barriers, discrimination, and limited access to relevant training. Remote and AI-enabled work can expand opportunity, but training alone is not enough. Learners also need practice, mentoring, portfolios, safeguards, and links to genuine work.
Physical access, transport, workplace attitudes, and inflexible systems can exclude capable people.
Many courses stop at certificates without supervised practice, portfolios, or realistic market preparation.
Learners need safe, ethical, privacy-aware methods—not only access to fast-changing tools.
The pilot will test a practical pathway before scaling. TurningPoint staff and early learners will gain real-world experience, document lessons, and support future participants as credible peer mentors.
Assess accessibility needs, existing digital skills, interests, equipment, and realistic livelihood pathways.
Combine practical AI, digital work, communication, safeguarding, and responsible-use training.
Use realistic assignments and feedback so participants can demonstrate competence, not only attendance.
Support profiles, samples, pricing awareness, client communication, and delivery standards.
Develop relationships with NGOs, businesses, mentors, employers, and digital marketplaces.
Track outcomes, document what works, and strengthen the model using participant experience.
Important: Final skills will be selected through labour-market validation and participant assessment. TurningPoint will not promise income simply because someone completes training.
TurningPoint is a Bangladesh nonprofit led by persons with disabilities. We combine lived experience, community relationships, safeguarding, programme delivery, and practical experience facilitating AI learning for civil society.
