Training on Participatory Project Planning and Designing Quality Proposals

Turning Point Foundation organised the training on “Participatory Project Planning and Designing Quality Proposals” on 01-03 July 2018 with support from the Commonwealth Foundation, which was a part of the project “Capacity Development of Persons with Disabilities and DPOs to advocate for their Rights and inclusion. The participants were total 24 from 19 grassroots Disabled Peoples Organisation (DPOs) from across the country participated in the training. Participation was diversified in terms of disability, gender, ethnicity and age. Among these participants, 9 were women and the rest 15 were male. The total 23 participants with disabilities included physical disabilities, visual disabilities, hearing disabilities and Deaf.

Refresher on Financial Management

Refresher Training on Financial Management

Turning Point Foundation organised a Refresher Training on Financial Management on 11-13 May 2018 with support from the Commonwealth Foundation. It was refresher for that training on Financial Management organized on 20-22 May 2017 last year as part of the project “Capacity Development of Persons with Disabilities and DPOs to advocate for their Rights”. The participants were total 18 from 17 grassroots Disabled Peoples Organisation (DPOs) from across the country participated in the training. Participation was diversified in terms of disability, gender, ethnicity and age. Among these participants, 10 were women with disabilities, total 18 participants with disabilities included the persons with physical disabilities, visual impairment and hearing impairment.

Training on Communication, Advocacy and Networking

A training on Communication, Advocacy and Networking was organized during 7-9 May 2018 by Turning Point Foundation with support from the Commonwealth Foundation. The participants diversified in terms of disability, gender, ethnicity and age were total 22 from 19 grassroots Disabled Peoples Organisation (DPOs) from across the country. Among them, 09 were women with disabilities, the total 22 participants with disabilities included physical disabilities, visual disabilities and the hearing impairment. Objectives of the training was to enable the participants to – i) Explain issues related to Communication, Advocacy and Networking; ii) Highlight importance of communication, advocacy and networking; iii) Developed effective advocacy plan, communication strategy; iv) Identify challenges and solutions.
